Police Officer

Candidate will perform general duty law enforcement work for the Town of Tarboro. Candidate must be 20 years of age, have a high school diploma or GED, a N.C. driver's license with a good driving record and the ability to meet North Carolina Criminal Justice Commission standards. Candidate must be proficient with computers. Candidate must live within a 30 mile radius from the corporate limits of the town. The Town provides assigned/take home vehicles for police officers. The Police Department also provides updated equipment for modern police practices. Excellent benefits (paid medical and dental, 6% 401K, 16.08% LEO retirement, etc.) and with holiday pay included, the entry level salary is $55,502.
